Bangalore Airport Location
Bengaluru International Airport, also known as Bangalore Airport, is about three miles south of the city of Devanahalli and 25 miles from the city of Bangalore in southeastern India. Bangalore is the capital city of the state of Karnataka.
Air passengers travelling to Bangalore Airport can either hire a taxi service or take one of the frequent bus shuttle services between the airport and Bangalore. There are currently plans to develop a high-speed rail route to Bangalore Airport connected to the city’s underground service.
Airlines
Bangalore Airport is the central hub of Kingfisher Airlines and is a focus point for many other Indian or Asian airlines, including IndiGo, GoAir, Jet Airways, JetLite, and SpiceJet. British Airways runs regular flights between London Heathrow and Bangalore Airport. Other European carriers flying to the airport include Air France and Lufthansa.

Bangalore Airport services around 10 million air passengers a year. There are around 300 flights arriving at, or departing from, Bangalore Airport every day.

Bangalore Airport has won a number of prizes over the years. These include the Routes Asia Airport Marketing Award, the Best Emerging Airport in the Indian Sub Continent (2010), the first airport in India to be 100 percent Bar Coded Boarding Passes compliant (2010), and the Best Managed Airport in India (2010).
