There are hill stations, temples, beaches and even the wildlife for adventure lovers. Each of these has a story to tell and if you are planning a vacation in this state then exploring it is the best thing to do.

Hill stations: Amongst the states of south India, Tamil Nadu has some of the most frequented hill stations. Ooty tops the list of hill stations; this place can woo you with its climate, blue skies, pine trees and lot more. Kodaikanal is another famous hill station that Tamil Nadu tourism proudly prides about, this place is well known for Kodai lake. If you thought just peace and calmness of hill stations is not enough to impress you, there are adventure trails, cycling trips and even horse riding awaiting you in here. Kodaikanal tourism can therefore be your choice for a one of a kind vacation.

Beaches: A relaxing vacation is incomplete without beaches; Tamil Nadu tourism surely has this advantage. The Marina Beach which is located in Chennai is India’s second largest beach and ranks amongst some of the longest stretched beaches in the Asian continent. This beach attracts surfers across the globe and fascinates its visitors with clear blue water and golden sand. The

Covelong Beach on the other side is located far away from the noise of the cities, if you want to soak yourself in calmness then this beach sure is a must visit.

Temples: When travelling in any corner of Tamil Nadu an artistically carved temple is sure to grab your attention. This state has thousands of temples that are centuries old and speak out the vibrant and rich culture of this region. The Pillayarpatti temple which is carved out of a single rock or the hill temple of Palani or the grand Tiruvannamalai shrine, these are just a few of the marvelous temples of Tamil Nadu. The city of Madhurai has one of the most beautiful architectural wonder of India, the Meenakshi temple. The temple alone draws millions of people towards Madhurai tourism.

Wildlife: Tamil Nadu is surrounded by deciduous forests making it a natural habitat for wildlife. The Vedanthangal Water Birds Sanctuary here is home to species of birds like open billed Stork, Little Grebe and Darters. The crocodile bank is making constant efforts in conserving the crocodiles, alligators and is a major tourist attraction of Tamil Nadu. At the Indira Gandhi sanctuary located in the Anamalai Hills you can get close to the wildlife of this state by watching lions, panther, elephants, Black Headed Oriole and many more.
