India is a vast country of great significance on a global level. It is a confluence of a number of religions, castes, communities and tribes. It is a land of myriad colours and has an interesting mix of people hailing from different walks of life. It boasts of plains, plateaus, mountains, oceans and a desert too. All its states reflect a distinct character and exude an endearing charm of their own. There are many archaeological sites unearthed so far that bear invaluable historical importance. A long list of monuments, museums, national parks and sanctuaries, orchards, dams, forests, beaches, etc. make the country a tourist’s delight. The country is a rich treasure trove of exclusive species of flora and fauna along with many endangered birds and animals. The country sees countless people from all across the world visit it every year and come back again to discover its riches.

The national language of India is Hindi (Devanagari script). Several cultures co exist here and almost two hundred languages are in use in the country. It is a country that has received universal recognition as one with immense integrity and the subcontinent has left a mark in fields of education, science and medicine, entertainment, games, trade, etc.
