Newcastle is a city with a growing restaurant scene. With some of the best restaurants in the north of England being in Newcastle, there is something for every budget and style. Depending on what sort of food you are looking for, there is no reason why you can’t enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in Newcastle without breaking the bank.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and if you are looking for somewhere to set you up for a day’s sightseeing, then the Quayside in Newcastle is the perfect place to start. Quay Ingredient is one of Newcastle’s most highly rated restaurants. Specialising in their brunch and breakfast options, as well as their beautiful Quayside location, this is the perfect place for a full English and a cup of tea that will last you right through to lunch.

If it’s a nice day, then Newcastle restaurants and cafes begin to sprawl out onto the streets. For a Mediterranean style lunch, head to Cafe Neon, near to Westgate Road. This restaurant specialises in the cheap and cheerful, and with outdoor seating, you can make the most of whatever Sun there is. Even if you are just having a coffee or a beer, Cafe Neon is a great location for some people watching, and you are sure to be enticed by some of their fresh produce.

In the evening, you may be ready for something more exotic. Newcastle’s foreign food scene is growing ever bigger, and nowhere is this more evident than with The Old Siam Restaurant. Just off the Quayside, and with a holiday feel to it, the Old Siam specialises in Thai food. The quality of the food is extremely high, and the Old Siam is popular with Newcastle residents as well as visitors. The Old Siam staff and food are a perfect combination, and you are guaranteed to leave with a smile.

If you are planning a trip to Newcastle, then there is bound to be great restaurants within walking distance of your accommodation. Many
