Discovering the Wonders of Langkawi Island in Malaysia!

The Langkawi archipelago is consist of about 100 islands, though the exact counting may vary depending on the sources. This is a part of Malaysia and is located near the border of Thailand. The Palau Langkawi and Palau Tuba are the two main inhabited islands in the archipelago. The Langkawi Island is a favorite holiday destination for many people. It is famous for eco-tourism and is well recognized for its stunning lakes, lush forest and various diving sites. Great Langkawi attractions like the Mt. Machincang, Pregnant Maiden Lake and Kilim are places worth visiting in the island. There is also a huge aquatic museum, a gigantic aquarium with seals, rays, sharks and other marine mammals. Shopping and visiting the island is greatly encouraged since the whole place is tax-free.

The Langkawi Island is a good spot for nature lovers, who want to relax in a shore line powdered with fine sand and swaying coconut trees. They are also best for those who wish to be around jungle clad hills. The island is well-developed to provide many visitors an excellent diving or snorkeling experience and troves of natural treasure for a remarkable holiday. It is a place to find cheap rentals cars which are great options if you want to go around the island. A fabulous cable car will set you out in the mountains to explore safely. To visit the island, you are required to travel either by air or sea since there is no bridge that connects Langkawi to the mainland. Ferries are on schedule on daily basis from different ports in Malaysia such as Kuala Kedah, Penang Island and Kuala Perlis.

Various Langkawi attractions have captivated many guests making the island one of the most tourist bound areas in Malaysia. Apart from being rich in natural wonders, there are also lists of LangKawi hotels where you can find the room that suits your preferences. Plenty of budget hotels are scattered throughout the island for economical travelers. The luxurious LangKawi hotels are built with amazing features that they can be regarded as among the most amazing attractions in the island. Great hospitality is well provided by a good number of locals who can speak English.

Touring around the island is estimated to take about a day. Hiring a car is a good option for anyone who wants to be around the beach all the time or sees Kua Town while touring the island. While Langkawi is an island with numerous beautiful beaches, it is also a good thing to remember that the place is a Muslim state. Even if tourists are free to wear beach attires like bikinis and skimpy clothing, going around the beaches topless would be frowned upon by locals. To be safe, guests are recommended to bring extra clothes to cover when venturing inland.
