Thought could of the point FM broadcast have redefined entertainment on the go with huge range of musical program being broadcasted throughout the day. The sound quality is generally good but it may also depend on the fm antenna on how much signal you will get ad how clear the broadcasting would be. One antenna cannot b enough for receiving all types of signals indoor and outdoor and that is why there is a need of selecting proper antenna.

Sometimes an outdoor TV antenna can receive signals but this may not be the case every time. In such cases it is better to install one which can receive 88 MHz to 108 MHz of signal. The frequency of FM broadcasting is generally very high and the receiving station needs to be within the distance of 40 miles to receive the signal. This is possible if the area is plane but with natural obstructions such as hills and seas that is quite common the FM transmission can reach up to 30 miles.

fm antenna can be categorized under two major classes. One is of outdoor type and the other is indoor antenna. Directionality is attached to the outdoor ones and this is quite good because it can receive strong signal. It is better in receiving perpendicular signals compared to any other angle. In case of outdoor antenna there are Unidirectional Dipole, Turnstile or crossed dipole, and Multi-element Array. Indoor type is installed whereas outdoor ones cannot be installed, there are two types of indoor antennas one is amplified indoor antenna and the other one is unamplified indoor antenna. There are two types of unamplified antenna Bidirectional Dipole and 1/2 Wave Vertical
