The range of Solar training courses
There is a number of various solar training and solar PV courses that people can attend if they want to become more knowledgeable in this area and if people want to hold a recognised qualification to help them gain employment in this field or set up their own solar PV business. People who want to take solar training may need to pay for the course unless they have an employer who will sponsor them who is keen for them to attend as it will be beneficial for their business. Solar training courses are held at various colleges and training centres across the country and many of the solar PV courses are City & Guilds qualifications.
The City & Guilds 2399-11 Solar PV Training Course is a course that is designed to offers students a fundamental knowledge of micro-renewable energy and water conservation technologies. During this particular solar training course students will learn about the working principles, the potential to install solar panel installation and the associated regulatory requirements for micro-renewable and water conservation technologies. This solar training course will prepare people for installing, commissioning, handovers, inspection, service and maintenance of renewable energy technologies. Other popular solar PV courses include the City & Guilds 2372 photo voltaic systems which give participants a certificate in installing and testing domestic solar PV systems.
This solar training course is an in-depth course which covers health and safety, site surveys, calculation fit estimates, building regulations, how solar PV works, the types of PV panels, solar PV panel design, grid tie inverters, DC/AC supplies and likely hazards, system testing, appropriate standards and final commissioning and system handover. Some participants may need to take foundation solar PV courses before going on to study solar training in more depth so they have a good basic knowledge and understanding of the principles to help them with more advanced course content.
