Compressed Natural Gas or CNG is made by compressing the natural gas on high pressure and is mainly used in transport sector. The natural gas has less density because of which it is easy to compress it to a pressure of around 200-250 kg and hence, it enhances the storage capacity of a vehicle bearing CNG. There are two main elements of the natural gas, which are Methane and Ethane. This natural gas also has Hydrocarbons, but they are generally removed during the processing. After the completion of the processing, the residue gas is termed as lean gas and returned back to pipeline. The gas is compressed and sold as CNG. There are many advantages of using cng in comparison to other combustible fuels.

The one obvious benefit it gives is to the environment. This gas is very beneficial to the surroundings and is sometimes referred to as green fuel. This gas is devoid of harmful elements and hence there are no by-products left out. Hence, the usage of this gas helps the environment in keeping it clean. The usage of the natural gas lessens the emissions in the surroundings. The gas is non-corrosive in nature and it increases the durability of the spark plugs. This gas is devoid of benzene and lead and keeps the environment free from their fatal compounds. At present, the power plants make use of natural gas and it has resulted in the reduction of harmful emissions in the atmosphere.

Another added advantage of making use of cng as fuel increases the life of lubricating oils. As, this gas does not involve any harmful substances it hence avoids the dilution and contamination of the crankcase oil. This fuel is gaseous in nature and blends easily and evenly in the atmosphere. The great benefit of this gas is its cost. The vehicles using this gas are low on expenditure in comparison to those, which run on diesel or petrol. CNG has complete features of a good fuel. It is thus, recommended to purchase vehicles that make use of this wonder gas or converting the vehicle into one. It will surely perk up the superiority of the surroundings.
