How Accurate are Tarot Card Readings?
Tarot card readings have grown immensely popular. These are being used by psychics and even those who are only beginning to understand the art. Throughout time, the tarot card has been a useful tool for divination. And as time elapsed, it has become a tool for predicting the future including the different aspects in one’s life like love, career, and relationships.
Its popularity has really expanded its reach as even internet websites are already offering psychic readings as well as tarot reading. They even offer SMS text readings, chat readings, and email readings. But the question still lingers, even among those who are not outward about their skepticism, as to whether such type of readings are accurate or not.
Here are some thoughts of people who have had some experience with tarot card reading.
One suggestion, which I think is as vague, comes from the magic 8 ball. And the answer is “no, it is not accurate”.
Another suggestion comes from a woman named Helen who says that tarot reading is not really a science. However, it may indicate as to where the wind is blowing. It may sometimes predict things correctly while there will also be times that it may be wrong. She also adds that it really has no direct connection to the future, present, and past.
She adds that people who understand the real practice of tarot card reading also understand that it is not purely to predict what will happen in the future. It is just a tool by which the seeker can make sense of the options she has in life and that ultimately, the decision and her future still depend on her choices today. In a nutshell, it only gives a sense of direction to where you are going in this lifetime.
“Tarot helps you meet whatever comes in the best possible way.” This is the opinion of another individual who is a prominent scholar of Tarot named Mary K. Greer.
Another opinion comes from a skeptic who simply says that tarot cards are just cards. And no card is powerful enough to make predictions of the future. He also added that the cards’ power is actually on the mind of the seeker. If one believes that the cards’ predictions will happen, then one will tend to act according to how the cards say things will happen.
Another opinion is similar to the previous one as he says that tarot card predictions are only coming true when we let it in. When it starts to matter to our life and actions, as well as decisions, then it will begin to gain its power.
If we look at the issue as a whole, we may realize that the tarot cards are just used to interpret a person’s life or lifestyle perhaps. We are not forced to believe it because we are all entitled to our own choices and decisions. If we think it will give us peace of mind and direction, then by all means we are welcome to make use of the tarot.
