Natural Baby Gifts for Clean Living
Everybody always comments on the silky softness of a newborn’s skin, and it is not surprising that parents want to look after their kids by using child-friendly toiletries at bath time. They need a gentle shampoo for scalps, a foam wash that is not going to be in any way abrasive, and a body butter that moisturises well without adding in any chemicals or ingredients that block the pours when they soak into the skin. As infants grow into toddlers, who run about outside and grab everything and anything, a natural hand wash can keep their mitts clean without being too harsh to their skin.
Just as Mother Nature creates the wonder that is a newborn child, the world is a natural wonder when it comes to the plants that grow and that have been used for years and years for their soothing, healing or calming properties. Birth mothers want their babies to have soft skin and welcome natural ingredients such as aloe vera for inflammations, chamomile for its effect on any skin irritations and lavender which relaxes. They can use these products if they like too. These types of toiletries are not only useful but thoughtful when given as baby gifts, especially when presented in a box as a set, or even personalised, perhaps with the infant’s name on a facecloth or a card enclosed in the package. So many new parents complain that although the thought is there they are often given presents that are not that different. There are only so many clothes a newborn can wear and most youngsters have an abundance of toys these days. Parents can be left with too much of one particular thing and lacking when it comes to practical presents. To give a mum and dad a thoughtful present that they can use, which is designed to look after their little one is always going to be appreciated.
Babies can sometimes suffer from cradle cap which gives them a flaky scalp or they can get rashes from nappies, as well as red patches caused by sun, heat or even from their diet. Whilst toddlers might love the smell of these natural products, they are not in need of toiletries with strong fragrances added which could dry out or in fact irritate the skin. What they need are natural soaps and shampoos that clean the body and hair in a gentle way.
