It’s in the Bag: Different Bags for Different Purposes
For centuries, bags have carried people’s clothes, accessories, toiletries, equipment, and other things. Whether for a long journey or a brief slumber party next door, people almost never leave home without bags to carry their stuff. Bags come in a variety of shapes and sizes, designed for specific needs such as heavy packing and portability. Here are some examples of widely used bags people carry around no matter where they go.
Carry-ons: As the name implies, this bag is meant to be carried by hand or put on the shoulder like a ladies’ bag. Carry-ons are ideal for traveling by air because most airline companies do not charge for one carry-on as a person’s luggage. Carry-ons can also come with a long strap for easy carrying using your body. However, compared to most traveling bags, they can only store so much, making them ideal for packing light when going on a trip.
Duffel bag: Named after a town in Belgium, the duffel bag is the bigger cousin of the carry-on. Duffel bags are the standard choice for many travelers and not to mention members of sports teams. Their lightweight fabric makes it easy to carry by hand, reducing the effort necessary to carry a fully packed bag. Duffel bags also have a trolley variant that can be deployed by raising the handle bar for easier carrying.
Lightweight bag: Two things to remember when carrying Briggs & Riley luggage: you do not want to carry something heavy and you do not want airliners to charge you extra. While you can reduce what you have to bring, what if you have to bring a lot? Lightweight bags allow you to pack a lot without going beyond the airline company’s baggage weight regulations. Besides, with lighter baggage, you can give the airline a deal in terms of airline weight reduction.
Garment bag: Do you need a change of clothes but worried about creases and folds if you wear it immediately? Think of garment bags to keep your clothes neat while you drive to the party or office in your casual clothes. You can either carry it like a shoulder bag or hang it in your car as if you would in your closet. Briggs luggage makes sure you are in your best attire no matter what you choose to wear for any occasion.
Designer luggage: Who says you cannot carry your stuff in style? Consider designer luggage to give you that classy look when you enter a luxurious hotel. Heys luggage usually comes in a set of bags sharing a uniform but chic design. The set includes three or four mobile travel bags of different sizes plus one carry-on bag
