Internet Marketing Jobs Have a Vibrant Future if Advertising Trends are an Indicator

Internet marketing jobs, especially the ones related to SEO, are in high demand in major metros. With more and more companies taking their business online, the demand for SEO professionals have increased multi-fold over the past decade or so.

The concept of SEO has changed dramatically in the past few years. In the earlier days it was the simple method of manipulating your site features to trick search engines into believing that your site was a deserving candidate for the top pages of Google results.

SEO Jobs are Becoming Important as the Process Becomes Complex and Multi-layered

Today SEO professionals have to overcome numerous hurdles and indulge in a series of complicated processes and manoeuvres to get top rankings for their client’s website. The SEO specialist is not a simple job title anymore. There are sub-specializations such as Link Building, Keyword Strategist, and Content Expert. It is clear that internet marketing jobs are becoming more and more specialized as the SEO processes become more multi-layered and complex.

The SEO manager is still the most commonly featured job title closely followed by the SEO analyst. Other important positions in the internet marketing jobs include SEO marketing director, SEO copywriter, and content and keyword strategist. Demand for positions such as a Link Builder and content writer are comparatively less.

The salary range also reflects the importance of the internet marketing jobs. An SEO marketing director job opening in New York ranges from 84K to 148K. A Link builder opening in the same city pays 27K to 59K depending on the experience and the expertise levels of the candidate. Respective figures for Austin, Texas, are 59K to 105K for an SEO director and 19K to 42K for a link builder.

Industry experts opine that SEO experts have a bright future because every company, especially the new ones, will have an online presence in the coming years. They will have to advertise their business and compete with others in the same business segment, and for this they will need to hire SEO professionals.

The Rising Online Advertising Budget Allocations Signposts a Great Future for SEO Professionals

According to, projections in advertising spending on traditional media, such as TV and radio, is falling in large measures. Whereas companies are slashing promotional budgets for these platforms, they are shifting the revenue to online marketing. That’s why online website promotional jobs are expected to have a vibrant future. This change in advertising patterns can be easily attributed to the digital revolution that the country is experiencing.

Individuals are spending more time on the web, whereas viewership of television is on the decline except for prime-time programs. People are using social networking sites to keep themselves informed of the latest developments in their area of interest. That’s why companies going online with their business have no option but to increase their online advertising revenue to catch the attention of an increasing online audience who are relevant to their business.

Internet marketing jobs, especially those associated with search engine optimization and marketing, are going to be in huge demand as companies look for SEO expertise to leapfrog their website rankings over competition.
