There are times when you must have felt dumb or confused around people. If you are a student you must have gone through situations where you felt embarrassed when your teacher asked you questions. You must have felt that you were a weak link in the entire classroom. To cope up with the lack of intelligence or memory power, you must have watched a lot of educational channels on your cable service like ATT U-verse Cable. Still you are in the initial stage and feel frustrated in life.

Frankly, it is okay to be frustrated. Nobody is born intelligent. Some people have this quality in their genes, while others get this as they live their life. You may feel that it may have to do with experience. Whatever it is, there are ways and means of being more intelligent than you are now and become a smart person among your group. So, how can you become intelligent? It is simple and just try to follow the points given below.

Memory Improvement – Generally when you say intelligent, it deals with the ability of remembering things well. If you want to be intelligent, you need to improve your ability to retain and recall the various things that you have seen and heard. It could be by using mnemonics and paying more attentions to minute details.

Effective Studying – Improving your studying skills can come in handy in a long run to avoid being dumbfounded when your teacher asks you questions. The basic reason why you can’t answer the question laid in front of you by your classmates and teachers is because you don’t study properly and well. Try to get many worthy tips from your teachers and friends.

Reading a Lot about The Things under the Sky - Whatever a human being wants in his or her life can be found in books, magazines and the internet. If you’re a vicious reader, you will expose yourself to more ideas and information. This will come in handy to enrich your memory and knowledge. Even you can consider jotting down points and perhaps looking up for words in the dictionary; if you have a difficulty with certain things.

Curious Mind is a Progressing Mind – Always make the conscious effort to be more curious in life. You must have come across various doubts on how people are able to know so much. The profound answer is good memory skills along with the pinch of curiosity. Frankly, if you’re satisfied going through life with little or no understanding of things you’re unfamiliar with, you won’t learn much. The need to develop your curiosity is very much important.

Research about the Things You want to Know - Curiosity alone will not help you. You need to have the thirst of doing research on finding answers to the questions. Curiosity without initiative (i.e. research) is like a car that is out of gas. It won’t take you to any place. Fortunately, when it comes to the area of knowledge you’re never far from success. If you read a word that you don’t know, look it up in the dictionary. If you wonder how airplanes fly, read a book about it. If you want to know more about politics, pick up a newspaper. With Internet access now pervasive, there’s less excuse for not finding something out that you want to know.

Figure things out of Your Own or Ask for Help – All of us have the capacity and the ability to perform the task by ourselves. We can perform them easily and if we don’t know, somewhat we may try by ourselves. In most cases, we will be able to figure it out on our own, either by trial-and-error or by researching. Most importantly by doing so we will exercise our problem-solving skills instead of our ‘do as you’re told’ skills.

But it’s great to figure things out on your own, but sometimes you don’t have enough time to do so, despite your best efforts. Don’t give up but try to ask somebody to show you how. Make sure to pay close attention and ask any questions that you have, so that you’ll never have to ask the same thing again.

The steps to being intelligent are easy but you need the urge and the proper enthusiasm for doing so.
