Why We Love Living in New Jersey
We love living in New Jersey, and there are so many reasons why. We had moved around a lot, and we have lived in several countries around the world throughout the years, but when we finally decided to settle down, we chose the Garden State. It wasn’t a hard decision to make; there were a number of New Jersey new homes available on the market and we easily found one that fit our budget and specifications.
Based on what we had read, we expected rudeness or a cold welcome from the community we moved into. However, things couldn’t be more different! One of the things we noticed in the small town was the kindness of the people there. We had once lived in South America, and seeing firsthand the poverty there, we had vowed to send any form of help we could muster once we returned home. We had started our donation drive in New York, and though we got some donations, the overall experience of getting them wasn’t all that pleasant.
When we moved into our New Jersey new home, we also began soliciting for donations, and the response was so different! People gave us a lot of stuff, and as word of mouth spread, we soon had more than enough to send to the families in South America. The generosity of the people in our community really astounded me.
Another thing that we love about New Jersey is that as a peninsula, it has a lot of very good beaches, from the Long Beach Island to Wildwood Crest, Asbury Park, Cape May, and the Sea Isle City. There are many things you can do along the Jersey shore, too, from beachcombing at sunrise, to biking, food tripping, boating, playing golf or tennis, camping, and sailing, among other things.
And as a horse aficionado, moving into our New Jersey new home was the best thing we had ever done. The Garden State has more race horses than Kentucky, or even Texas! A shopaholic would find it a haven as well, as there are so many shopping malls here—e.g., seven major malls within a 25 sq.mi. radius—that it holds the distinction of having the most number of shopping malls in one area. Who would have expected it?
So if you’re thinking about looking for New Jersey new homes, there’s only one thing we can tell you: go for it! Living in New Jersey has been a dream come true for us. I’m sure it would be for you and your family too.
