• The University of Oxford-pride of Oxfordshire and the gem of England because it is one of the oldest and best universities of the world. In short it is sometimes referred to as Oxon. It consists of 38 independent colleges and six private halls.

• University Museum of Natural History-also known as Oxford University Museum has in its display many of the Oxford University’s natural specimens that had their existence on the earth. It has an adjoining lecture hall in its premises which is used by the various scientific departments of the University.
