Author: jaypher | Posted: 14.05.2012It may be challenging to learn a new language but it doesn't mean it is impossible. One of the most difficult but interesting languages to learn is Russian. You can find a lot of tips for you to be able to learn Russian but one of the most invaluable tip is for you to learn to speak the language before you learn to read it. Learning how to read the language may take more time compared to speaking it so it might be better for you to obtain someone who can teach you how to say a few of the basic words before you start reading them. Some of the tips that could help you learn the language easily include the following:
> Enroll to a Russian language class. You can enroll online or you can have the course in your local college or university that offer foreign language. Ideally, you should learn the language five or six days per week. You can allocate at least 15 minutes or more a day to learn Russian.
> Listen to audio recordings whenever you can to learn proper pronunciation and diction. You can listen to recordings when driving, resting or even when working out. To make the activity more fun and interesting, you can watch Russian movies or TV shows.
> Know your limitations when learning the language. Do not try to absorb everything in one setting. You may experience information overload and may even mix words up and phrases. To learn effectively, know some basic words then learn a few phrases until you make some sentences. To begin with, learn how to say thank you, hello, good morning and similar phrases in Russian.
> Be nice to yourself. Understand that learning such a challenging language might take time so do not despair if you don't learn it right away. Find a Russian to talk with as often as you can. If you would talk with a Russian or someone who knows the language, you will learn Russian more quickly. This way, you will also improve your vocabulary.
> Russia includes a difficult language with challenging grammar but if you give it some time, you will eventually learn it and natives will understand you. Russians are nice people and if you are lucky, you may even come across with one who is willing to show you a word or two.
