Adventure sports

The area is increasingly known for the range of more adrenalin-inducing sports such as canyoning which includes swimming and abseiling down the rocky waters of Glen Nevis and down the Inchree Waterfalls. There are also some superb opportunities to try out paragliding at the Nevis Range. Ice climbing is becoming an ever more popular sport and can be enjoyed any time of year at the Ice Factor where there are indoor ice walls with instructors on hand and walls for every level of climber, from the beginner to the highly experienced.

Golf

There are three golf courses around Fort William which cater to all levels of skill and the famous Traigh course at Arisaig is less than an hour from the town.
