There is so much to do in Cannes, something for every tourist, whether it is shopping, sightseeing or attending arts events.

The shopping facilities are so close to many of the hotels in Cannes City Centre that you do not need a car to reach them, they are well within walking distance. There are both affordable markets for bargain hunters and high-end designer shops and boutiques, featuring some luxurious top brands, for those looking for something more glamorous.

La Croisette is a popular place to visit for tourists; it is a well-known street running along the beachside. There is lots of shopping to do here, as well as several cosy little cafes where you can soak up the lovely surroundings and French culture. If you prefer, you can spend the day on the sandy beaches that are well kept and just as clean as the private ones. Rue d’Antibes is another great shopping area, while Le Suquet is a compact area with winding streets full of cafes and small shops.

The Musee de la Castre is ideal for those who like history; it is quaint little museum that makes for a great educational day out. If you are in Cannes during May, you may be lucky enough to be there for the world famous Film Festival, which is held at the Palais des Festivals. You will probably be able to catch a glimpse of a few Hollywood stars, as well as being part of the glitz and glamour that it brings.
