The word Geography has been derived from a Greek word geographia which means description of earth. Well, Geography is the science that studies about the features, inhabitants and phenomena of the earth. Geography is important to study especially for the children because it is very logical that it opens their eyes regarding the world that they live in. It enables them to see the world and also let them figure out the facts about the mother earth.
The subject is of extreme interest and informs the children about the magnificent changes and activities that take place in the planet and even in the other planets. The languages also differ from region to region. Geography helps the students to understand the cultural diversity, environment and society globalization of the world. Many of the people take geography a subject that deals with knowing the places where they are located. Apart from everything geography is necessary for the children to study because it teaches them to interact with the atmosphere and it also relates to the multi cultural concerns and environmental education.
