One of the most well known and highly respected NFL quarterbacks of all time is Joe Montana. For 14 seasons, Joe Montana played for the NFL's San Francisco 49ers and he also played two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.

In 1995, Joe Montana retired from the NFL and in the year 2000, Montana became a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. There are many facets to the charity work of Joe Montana. He devotes time to a foundation that benefits sick children, he works with another foundation that aids foster children and he also hosts a charity golf event that assists a California Boys & Girls Club.

During the mid-2000s, the charity work of Joe Montana included working with his wife as honorary co-chairs of a fund-raising campaign to build a village for children in the foster care system.

Mr. Montana also worked on an educational program which was designed to help Americans gain better control of their blood pressure.

In 2010, Joe Montana teamed up with hockey legend Wayne Gretzky for an evening charity event to help benefit the Steve Clarkson Dreammaker Foundation. At this charity event, which featured an auction and reception, the proceeds benefited several vital charities.

The Charity Work Continues

In 2011, a charity event featuring Joe Montana and country music artist Clay Walker was held at a real castle in California. The event was filled with fine food and wines and it was a big success.

Also in 2011, Joe Montana in conjunction with Kraft Foods promoted a program which helps to feed hungry people around the world, including the San Francisco area. The event was held at the San Francisco Food Bank.

This legendary NFL quarterback and his wife operate the Four Rings Montana Family Foundation and he also owns a real estate investment company. He moved back to the city that made him a legend, San Francisco. He downsized his living space into the luxury condos at Millennium Tower. As the most famous resident of the luxury condo building, Montana helps promote the building as a place where San Francisco residents can find an oasis among the hustle and bustle city life. Millennium Tower in SoMa is also the tallest building west of the Mississippi.
