If you are choosing cheap paving slabs, then remember to use the money saved in another area of the project. It’s suggested that you do this simply because the paving slabs are cheaper, so you may need to spend more on a good base material. Purchasing cheap paving slabs isn’t necessarily bad because in all honesty, the appearance or overall quality of them isn’t bad; however, there may be certain components that are missing that would be commonly found in the more expensive paving slabs, like special aging bonds.
As mentioned previously, selecting paving slabs is a process that should be met with seriousness. Once the slabs are set into the base material and are aligned, it does become harder to freely move or adjust them, so you need to make sure you are content with the selection of slabs you have chosen. A great way to see if the selected paving slabs are acceptable is to lay them down on the ground and let them stay there for about a week or so.
Stone paving, although it sounds relatively difficult, really isn’t and could be done on a weekend. Professionals are able to complete the task for you if you are not comfortable doing it, and the costs do vary when it comes to stone paving; however, you can decrease the cost by using cheap paving slabs, but again, you may want to spend that extra money on a good base material.
