They should also be sturdy and of good material so that they can be used for long period of time.

The other thing to be done is that no toilet seat should be rubbed with acid to keep it clean. Not only is it harmful for the users, but acid only helps in removing the stains. As a result, the microbes that are invisible to the eye remain there, making the entire thing useless. A good detergent and then a good disinfectant should be used on the toilet and also on the adjoining floor to keep, it clean at all times.
