Should we allow Bikes or Cars to High school students?

Jennifer, my friend’s daughter was only fifteen when she got her first car on her birthday. I could see the happiness in her eyes when her father handed over the keys in her hands. She was excited, but her mother was not. Her mother was against of the idea to give her such a big thing so early. She was worried because she knew she won’t be able to stop her daughter from driving the car and at the same time her daughter didn’t have a driving license as she was not an adult.

We find news of car accidents almost every day in newspapers. When we give the freedom of driving a car to teenagers then obviously they will do whatever they want. That is the age when they don’t tend to listen to anybody. Even government doesn’t allow under eighteens to get a driving license. Children of that age are mostly stubborn in nature but does that mean that we should allow them to take cars or bikes to the schools? Well, it simply gives them the audacity to do anything that they want. It depends upon the parents how they bring up their kids.

When our children end up doing something wrong, we don’t try to find out the facts and start blaming them. The other moment we call them innocent. Now the question is that if they are innocent and are unaware of the ugly facts of the world then how we can blame them for something they have done. Rather, we should blame the parents who give them the chance to make mistakes. There is an appropriate age for everything.

When it comes of having an own car, then it should be a big no-no for teenagers. This can also be called as the first step to spoil your own child. This is not the fault of the children if they ask their parents for cars because they often see in TV that students come to schools with cars or bikes and they also start wishing for the same. It is the duty of the parents to teach their students what should be their limitations. Moreover, taking a bike or a car to schools also break the rules and morality of the schools. It also creates discrimination between the children who can afford and who cannot afford vehicles in the schools. Therefore, not only parents but school authority also should not allow the students to bring any sort of vehicle to the school.
