Often referred to as one of the most underrated cities in the Andalusia region of southern Spain, the Spanish city of Seville is filled with so many things to do that a return trip is inevitable. The hotels in Seville city centre will be able to help guide you with some of the more popular things to do. This will be particularly helpful for visitors with limited time in the city.

A trip to Plaza de la Encarnacion should definitely be on any visitor’s list. Here you will discover Metropol Parasol, a very modern structure that is located in the centre of the city. For a nominal fee, tourists can access the upper area of the structure where you can take in the grand views of the entire area. Don’t forget your camera.

The 14th century building of Parroquia de San Lorenzo, can be found in Plaza de San Lorenzo. This exquisite church is an eclectic blend of gothic and Arab inspiration. Its architectural mixture makes it a unique building. Enjoy the surrounding painted facades and the famous square where, next door, visitors can also take in Basilica de Nuestro Señor Jesús del Gran Poder.

For a great outdoor day, get yourself a bicycle and ride around the Parque de Maria Luisa - Seville has several outlet services where bicycles can be hired. This park is the largest in the city and is filled with beautiful pathways. It is also full of great corners such as Plaza de Espana. Enjoy the day as you wander through the natural beauty of the city. For those with less time, try a bike through Jardines de Murillo, which is a smaller park in Seville.

Before the end of your day, stop at one of the numerous eateries and enjoy local tapas. Tapas are little dishes or snacks that are readily available in almost all bars and restaurants. This is an ideal way to sample many of the local foods. Don’t forget to combine your tapas with one of the local drinks. A good place to go is La Carboneria. This old coal warehouse offers live music and an excellent selection of drinks.
