Whenever you want to change a channel, the receiver play an important part in sending the signals. It keeps a perfect count of the pay per channels you are viewing. Thus it helps the company to arrive at a perfect bill. The digital MPGE-2 or MPEGE-4 is converted into an analog format so that the standard television can recognize it. It is thus quite useful.
