The region of Andalucía in Spain is blessed with many worth seeing places. One of such places located on Costa del Sol is Puerto de la Duquesa. A short name for this place is Duquesa and it is a popular tourist destination for many reasons. It is considered a piece of paradise because of its immense beauty. It is basically a port having all the latest facilities available in it.

There have been developments in the area of Puerto de la Duquesa in recent times. There are many buildings under construction in the area even today. There are high rise buildings serving as hotels in this part of Spain. Similarly there are apartments available which are used as staying options by most of the visitors to the place.

The waterfront area of Puerto de la Duquesa is lovely. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and areas of enjoyment near the waterfront. There is a small market in this area too which is best for shopping. There are all kinds of items available in this market. One can find lots of boats in this area too. There are boat yards and facilities for boats refilling are available in this area. There are two fascinating beaches in Puerto de la Duquesa. These are very long sandy beaches and they have their own bars. They are excellent for spending times and for water sports activities as they are modern beaches with all facilities.

There have been lots of property developments in Puerto de la Duquesa since last five years. The area is on property boom even today. One can imagine that this port might turn into a city in the times to come because of its rapid expansions. There are urbanizations continuing on both sides of N340 which is a highway that passes by this area.

There is a golf course by the name of Duquesa Golf. This golf course has a hotel of its own and it gives some great views of the sea to its visitors. It has been maintained well up to the modern standards. There is construction work in the vicinity of this golf course also. There are many English speaking foreigners that have settled in this part of Spain in recent times. Puerto de la Duquesa is famous for its fishes too. There is a record high catches of fishes in this area of Spain.
