• Ice Point Method: Another method of thermometer calibration is the ice point method. Take a container and fill it with crushed ice as well as water. The temperature in the container should be 32 degree Fahrenheit. Thereafter, allow the mixture of water and ice to stabilize. Then, dip the thermometer inside the container properly. Try to keep the thermometer away from the bottom as well as the sides of the container in order to avoid any type of error..

Now let us talk about how to sanitize the thermometer. Not only before using it for the first time, you should sanitize the thermometer even when you are using the same. This can be done by washing it in lukewarm soap water. Thereafter, you need to make it completely dry by using a soft cloth.
