K3 visa and US Work Permit

K3 is valid for 2 years and is a multiple entry visa. Foreign spouse may adjust his/her status after 2 years to permanent resident. One of the benefits of the k3 visa is that instead of having to wait outside the country as the law previously required, a spouse can remain in the United States while awaiting approval of form 1-130.
Dependant children under the age of 18 years, prior to the marriage between the United States citizen and the foreign beneficiary who wish to accompany the spouse can apply for k4 visa. The consulate must be in the country in which the marriage took place if the United States has a consulate which issues immigrant visas in that country. If the marriage took place in the United States the designated consulate is the one with jurisdiction over the current residence of the alien spouse. The H1 b worker family may also be permitted to live in the US during the period that the visa is in effect, but they are not allowed to work.

US Work permit are obtained from the US citizenship and immigration service through an application process that usually takes 3 to 5 months. The ability to obtain a work permit is measured whether there is a genuine vacancy for an employee in this country, whether the skills, qualifications and experience needed to do the job meet the requirements, whether the person is suitably qualified or experienced to do the job on offer and whether there is need to do the job on offer, and whether there are suitable qualified residents worker.
To obtain a work permit you must have a job offer from the United States employer to perform certain duties. If you change the job, a new permit must be obtained. US work permit is granted to the following classes of individuals: foreign nationals authorized to work incident to their immigration status, foreign nationals permitted to work for a specific employer incident to their immigration status and foreign nationals eligible for employment authorization, but who first obtain permission from government in the form of an employment authorization document.
