Mr. Jaggi ran his own consultancy chamber in a glamorous township of Chandigarh. A senior architect by profession, he worked for an Australian Company. A client in Mysore was his reason for visiting the historic city to Mysore often on business trips. But his own clients were too many to handle and he often landed up sitting from 4p.m to 8p.m everyday in his little office attending to people who wanted their house plans drawn out for them. His clientele usually increased outside his office close to the time of the submission of property tax. Mr. Jaggi’s, clients would wait to get their property plans regularized. It was a bit of a nuisance, but he couldn’t help it if the Government was so indecisive to declare irregular what they themselves once declared as regular. It meant going through the laws apart from a lot of paper work and documentation.

Mr. Jaggi job was to supervise the construction work of the 5 star hotel that was coming up fast near the BHEL Township. He was away from his wife and kids but unfortunately that was his routine everyday, except for Sundays when he would sit at his chamber for the entire day. However the entire week, Mr. Jaggi had kept his consultancy chamber closed because he was busy visiting schools. The people in his area noticed this and most of his clients just didn’t know how to contact him since he hadn’t put out a board.

Mr. Jaggi also felt he should have put up a board to tell all his client’s that he would not be available for ten days, but his absence from his office was unfortunately taking longer than expected. No body knew that Mr. Jaggi was actually standing for hours in a line waiting to buy school admission forms for his son, Mashal who was ready for class 1. Many a times, he would take his wife Bahar with him on his visit to a number of schools on his list, but at the end of the day his wife would be too tired to do the cooking at home and couldn’t manage long hours in the schools. At times, she would go searching for schools in one direction, while he would go in the opposite direction, but at the end of the day they barely had forms to about 11 schools in hand over 2 weeks. Mr. Jaggi approached his friend Pradeep asking him whether he could sit at his chambers. Pradeep sat for a few days and then had to his hometown because his wife was not well. This left Mr. Jaggi quite irritated with the way things were going on. He had barely covered 11schools and when he watched the other parents increasing their scope buying their children forms from at least 30 schools at a shot, he was hesitant about whether his son would ever make it.

There were parents buying 30 forms, to increase the scope of getting their child admitted into a school. Mr. Jaggi s friend Pradeep could make out his friends tension while he conversed with him over the phone. That day Pradeep met a retired school teacher who had by coincidence turned out to be a relative of his mother-in-law. Though Pradeep was on holiday, he remembered Mr. Jaggi’s worry and at lunch chose to ask the lady teacher whether there was any other means by which schools could be located and applied to without actually visiting them. That was a joke- so he thought. But when the response was that she asked whether he had tried onlineschooladmissions.com where right from the choice of schools to the submission of documents and scheduling an interview, everything was done online and the parent only had to take the child for the interview, Pradeep was so relieved that he couldn’t keep things to himself and instantly wrote a blog for OSA that night.
