Radio was there for a long period of time ruling the market of audio transmission but the sound quality was not up to the mark and people had to depend on audio cassette player or the CD player for the same. Then the portable players came to the market which allowed you to get entertained on the go. But they were costly and out of reach for major chunk of population. Then FM transmission system was introduced which has channels dedicated to music and that has redefined music on the go.

A TV transmitter is different than the FM transmitter. It is a device that trust needs electromagnetic signal to the receivers in TV. There can be different type transmitters depending on their system standard, the backup facility, output power and dual facilities which are known as stereophonic facility. The FM transmitter is a portable one while the tv transmitters are bigger in size. This is because the in case of TV both video and audio signals needs to be transmuted and converted to video and audio but in case of a FM only audio signals are converted. Transmitter is both cases are needed to be connected to an antenna to receive the signals. The difference between the two of them is that in case of radio the system runs through battery while in TV electrical power supply is often needed. In case of radio, the location is more important than TV. The two systems run on the basis of input, output, and the better the input is the better would be the output.
