Start by checking the indoor coils and filters. Always, clean the air filters. When the air conditioner sucks in air from outside, there is the tendency of grime and dust to accumulate in the pipes and so it is very much important to clean it at regular intervals. Make sure that you also remove any other type of dirt or lint from the filters.

You will find coil and air outlets on the face of outdoor unit. Make sure that you clean them regularly. There is the tendency of weeds or any sort of dry leaves to obstruct the way of the outdoor unit and so it is your major responsibility to remove them. If the coil is free of any kind of obstruction, then pure air can pass through it and fresh air will be breath inside the room.

Your next step is to check out for good flow of air from the outdoor and indoor unit. If there were poor airflow, then that would suggest that the coil is blocked by any kind of obstruction. Therefore, it is your responsibility to clean it.

Then, your next step is to check the systems on both heating and cooling modes. In case, the conditioner fails to switch between those two modes, then this is good indication that there has been a fault in the reversing valve, which needs maintenance.

Remember, commercial air conditioning is exposed to faults due to lack of maintenance. Therefore, air conditioning maintenance is very much important keeping in mind the requirements that will make or keep the air conditioning in the best of shape and service.
