Enticing Costa de Almeria

Almost all tourists to Almeria love its beaches; the Costa de Almeria is very popular for its long and wide beach with soft sand. It is one of the designated Blue Flag beaches in Spain which is renowned for its cleanliness, full water sports and amenities. The beautiful climate attracts the crowd throughout the summer with the warm Mediterranean waters.

Water facilities

Most tourists to Costa de Almeria make time to enjoy one or more of the water sports or activities on the beaches and water. There is beach volleyball and all kinds of water activities such as surfing, jets skiing, scuba diving, paragliding and kite surfing.

There are many shops along the beach which sell or rent the required water sports facilities to the convenience of the tourists.

Pubs and cafés

There is no lack of pubs, cafés and bars along the beach to cater to the hunger pangs and thirst of the sun lovers. Cold beers and fresh juices flow freely during the day or night to the delight of the tourists.

The nightlife at the beachside is vibrant and alive with live music and entertainment. Discotheques blast their music to the beach as guests sway and thump to the music. Visitors to Almeria and locals flock these entertainment outlets after dusk till the wee hours in the morning to enjoy the festive atmosphere and lively ambience. The Spaniards are known to be the life of the party; there is always a great festivity with the local crowd.

Town offerings

The beach is close to the towns where quaint shops are available for the keen shoppers. There are many quaint local craft which one might consider as souvenirs. There are many interesting historical sights around town and at its outskirts which are easily accessible.

There are plenty of good restaurants in town to whet the appetite especially for local cuisines. The local tapas are a delight and very popular at any time of the day or night. There are international cuisines from finer restaurants or hotels.

Accommodation

One would not be worried about a place to stay while holidaying in Almeria. Costa de Almeria has plenty of fine hotels and motels to fit the traveler’s budget. There are self-catering apartments and villas which offer more privacy with some simple cooking facilities to allow the guests a home cooked meal now and then. The best accommodation must be booked early to avoid disappointment.
