The presence of many electronic devices with strong power sources has filled the environment with electromagnetic fields.
Not many are aware of the kinds of magnetic separators that exist in the magnetic separation area. This is broadly being divided into two categories namely the Electromagnet and permanent type. These can still be subdivided into three different types, i.e. the middle magnet type, weak magnet type and strong magnet type. This classification is broadly based on the magnetic field of each type.
When it comes to the strength of Electromagnets, there are a number of ingredients involved such as width and length of magnetic field, resistance in current encounters, pulling power by the magnet etc that plays a crucial role. It may be noted; the strength is directly proportionate to number of turns that the wire coil has received. Therefore, experts of this industry recommend giving especial emphasis on this aspect while making it on your own. In instance where you attempt to make one by your own, it is recommended that you wrap these wires around the nail. This will enable the generation of magnetic field which will eventually pass through the wire. According to law of science, once the electrons are excited, it has a tendency for exciting each other. As a result of this chain reaction, it leads to the causing of current to flow. The main reason why it is suggested to wrap the wire is because it will tend to push electrons closer together.
A good example is the power relay station where you can feel the strong presence of Electromagnets’ magnetic field. In these situations, experiencing a slight headache is mainly because of electromagnetic waves emitting from high-voltage type of power lines.
