These are posts with retractable tapes attached to them. retractable barrier are ideal for crowd control in retail establishments and special events. They can also be used as safety barriers for practical purposes. These safety barriers can be used in traffic, during construction, in warehouses and in parking lots. Wherever it is required to keep people out and away for safety’s sake these barriers are highly functional and reliable. They are light and easy to move.

Though the traditional stanchion posts are used, it is advisable to use the orange cone shaped ones. This is because once the people see them they automatically slow down, stop and pay attention. The safety cone ensures that the crowd restrains itself from crossing over the barriers due to the seriousness of the caution statement the safety barrier makes.

Tapes:

The retractable tapes can be made to look like a caution tape or with red safety lines. This will send the message that the area is dangerous and will keep the crowds away. Like any other crowd control product these can be altered with queue management signs or electronic displays. They are also effective for marketing and informational purposes or to assist in keeping an area safe. They come in handy not only in dangerous working situations but also prevent injuries at a worksite.

They are seen in areas where there is likelihood for lines and queues like Airports, check out lines, movie halls, post offices and hotels. They are metal or plastic post with a belt which can be pulled across the room to another post. They use a spring mechanism or a weighted pulley system, to stretch from post to post.

Wall Mounted barriers:

These units are attached to the wall with a separate back plate which is easy to install and is unobstructed. These are ideal for unused cash registers and temporarily blocking off retail areas.
