Churches in Alicante

Concatedral de San Nicolas de Bari:

This church counts among the oldest churches in Alicante and it is situated in the famous Old Town of they city. This church was constructed during the 17th century and the church was built on the remained structure of the mosque. La Iglesia de Santa Maria:

The traditional use of ornament in Spanish style is also the significant part of the church. There are many sculpture of Gothic style with a history of 15th century present in the church. The church is located near the city hall in Plaza de Santa Maria Square.

Chapel of St Rocco:

This church was constructed in the year 1559 and it is located just close to chapel of Santa Cruz in Alicante. The church was rebuilt in the year 1875 and it has Stature of Gypsy Christ inside it. The church is present at San Roque Street, Alicante.

Chapel of Santa Cruz:

This church is small and located at Santa Cruz, Alicante. While hiking up Benacantil mount you will find this church which was constructed by the end of 18th century. The church is all white and built pleasantly in contrast to the adjacent streets which are narrow. This church is the first point to start the celebrations of Easter.
