Image Catchers - Giving a Good Name to Albury Photographers
If there is one company that aims to bring Albury photographers close together so that they can serve those people who have moments to capture, that company is Image Catchers. There are plenty of special events that deserve photographs so that people who have been involved in them can recall the events in vivid detail. Photographs are powerful reminders of events that are long past; through these photos, people have something to look back upon. While even the most ordinary moment deserves a picture if the participants in that moment feel like looking back to it someday, when people usually hire a company to take pictures for them, it's because they are involved in big events. These big events are where Image Catchers usually are.
But not only big events. While our concept of photography is commonly confined to taking pictures of milestone events, such as birthdays, weddings, and the like, Image Catchers focuses also on another type of photography. That type of photography is different in nature from the photography done for big events; that type of photography captures the likenesses of people for a moment. That type of photography is called portraiture. While in special events many people can be involved in photographs, in portraiture, it is the self (or perhaps some other people). Selfhood is preserved in a portrait; if you have a portrait of yourself, you (or anyone else) can look back to it 10, 20, 30 years from now and then marvel at how you used to look like. While portraiture is of a different nature from the photography done in big events, portraiture is also possible during special events. Anyone can take your portrait during your birthday, during your graduation, or during your wedding, and Albury photographers from Image Catchers are experienced in doing that.
So how did Image Catchers come to being? Image Catchers is an Australia-based company that serves people from Albury/Wodonga as well as people from nearby areas. The head of the company is Anthony Van Rompaey. Anthony Van Rompaey is a professional photographer with experience spanning more than ten years. He specializes in taking pictures of special events as well as in taking portraits of people. His expertise in both fields has won the admiration of many clients in the Albury/Wodonga region and in many other regions. His accumulated knowledge and know-how sets the philosophy of Image Catchers.
There is also this attitude of Anthony Van Rompaey about photography. He says that he loves what he does, which is taking pictures. Now, many of us may take pictures routinely, but Van Rompaey is fired up by a genuine love of taking pictures. How? According to Van Rompaey, he is surrounded by joy and beauty at all times, and so he thinks it worthwhile to take pictures of other people who are participants in the joy and beauty that he describes. When he takes pictures of others, he says that others' eyes light up. Truly, Image Catchers has sought to make permanent the moments that make people happy, and Albury photographers can truly make their own time and others' time worthwhile.
