Capturing Cinematic Moments in Perfection

By Rob Marcel Subscribe to RSS | April 2nd 2012 | Views:

His mind is everywhere. All he has is here and now. He looks at his watch, eager to spend the rest of his life with his one true love. He stands on edge, waiting for the doors to open to reveal his beautiful bride. Finally, the entourage ends. Everything blurs and at that moment, only one thing is clear. With the violin music that dances in the air, his beloved walks down the aisle on the way to his arms. This, he thinks, is the woman I will be spending the rest of my life with. Both share a look of deep love with one another. This wonderful moment in this Albury Church – now, that is a cinematic moment.

Many times, this is the common thought after experiencing picture-perfect moments such as the first time one was swept away by a loved one, the deafening applause following one’s gruelling performance or even just a simple time when one returns to a glorious, home-cooked meal or enjoying a nice cup of hot coffee in one’s Albury home after a hard day’s work. For professionals specializing in Albury photography, these captured moments are priceless, each telling a story of a thousand words in a single click.

The term “cinematic” is used to describe these special moments thanks to numerous unforgettable moments in film, intense or simply emotionally endearing. Cinematic can be when an actor executes an unforgettable line in brilliance or a director beautifully captures a sinking ship in slow motion with the protagonists saying goodbye in tears. The same principle applies in Albury photography; a perfectly genuine situation and with the photographer’s sharp eye for detail, a beautiful shot is delivered.

Cinematic is exactly how one describes a picturesque moment when every little detail is being savored at that very special moment. Yes, it is true that technology can only do so much since the best camera will always be the senses. However, having something tangible to show to your kids and grandkids can allow them to aim for as many cinematic moments as they can.

Memory touches the senses. Picture yourself savoring every bit of praise after you present your thesis, having heavily explained your month-long research and then getting that well-deserved unanimous high passing mark accompanied by a huge round of applause from all of your colleagues and professors in Albury. Remember seeing the congratulatory smiles and the genuine appreciation, feeling the countless pats on the back, hearing the claps and the praises from the esteemed panel of professors, the smell of the wood- adorned classroom and the perfume of your thesis adviser as you are hugged, the taste of the champagne after celebrating a toast of victory. Capture this, and everything that you feel can then be shared with those who matter.

As far as Albury photography is concerned, so many moments in life are picture-worthy. Life offers a wide array of these so-called cinematic moments. Whether it is as big as an adventure at Mt. Everest or as simple as playing with your kids, it’s all about the impact of these times along with the little nuggets of wisdom that affect life as one knows it.
