By Julia Roger Subscribe to RSS | May 23rd 2012 | Views:

When urethra or bladder gets attacked by bacteria, then there are high chances of developing UTI (URINARY TRACT INFECTION). Urethra is a special tube within the human body that helps in expelling the urine outside from bladder. Urinary tract infection can be quite painful. However, it should be noted that UTI can also take place in animals. It can be seen quite commonly in dogs. However, the canine UTIs are quite easy to get spotted. If urine infection test takes place at an early stage, then it can be treated properly and cured without much of trouble. But if UTI was tested during a very later stage, then there is life threatening issues to consider. Be it dog or human, the infection is really harmful and should be treated at the earliest.

Have a look at the canine urine infection symptoms:

Urination taking place frequently

Facing extreme pain and difficulty during the time of urination (yelping or whining of dog can be observed during urination)

Urine containing blood

Frequent urination but very little in amount and cloudy in color

Licking the genitals frequently

Urine having tremendous foul smelling

Inability in controlling urination

Abdomen region near bladder area becomes tender

Frequent fever

Becoming lethargic and showing no interest in playfulness

The veteran will first examine the dog and then will find out the exact reason behind such an infection occurrence. After examining, suitable antibiotics will be prescribed by the medical expert. This method helps in providing fast relief to the poor creature and it experiences some sort of comfort. However, the antibiotic may cause some negative impact on dog’s heath. It can weaken the immune system or can even lead to some serious allergic conditions. Herbal & homeopathic treatments are often considered to be the best option to avail. The reason: they are safe and do not react in a negative way. There are no chances of any side effects.
