Some Exciting Bird Cage Ideas to Decorate Your House

By James Blee Subscribe to RSS | April 20th 2012 | Views:

Bird Cages can be used to decorate the house even if you don’t want to keep any birds locked inside. These cages are perfect when there is lot of space in your room and you want a beautiful, sculptural item that can fill some space and add some charm to the overall décor. More often than not, these cages are purchased in metal which gives some room for exquisite workmanship and artistic designs that could be tried out with wires, hooks, rings, etc. In some cases, an old Bird Cage can be transformed into a colorful and beautiful hanging decorative item through the use of spray paint.

The classic timeless beauty of these cages can be accentuated through the use of beautiful grillwork, floral patterns and the use of candles to highlight the aesthetic elegance of these cages. You can pick and choose between different sizes of cages, which can either be hung from the ceiling or placed on the table or near the window sill to complement beautiful furnishings and linen. In some cases, the cages are mixed and matched with colorful birds, sometimes real, sometimes ceramic based on individual preferences.

There are all kinds of cages, some designed for one bird, while some designed for dozens of them with multiple tiers. Some have a beautiful dome structure, while others come in the form of cuboidal boxes. You can decorate the cages and complement them with live indoor plants. Similarly, flowering plants can be hung from cages that are deployed close to the patio or lawn, so that it actually gives a soothing bird’s nest look. Proportion is important too, as your cages shouldn’t be too small or too big for the available space. You can go for the antique or brass look as well depending upon the furniture around.
