Things to Do in Tenerife

From any of the hotels in the Tenerife, it is easy to access the island’s numerous attractions and activities, either by organised excursion or hiring a taxi.

Beaches

There are numerous beaches in Tenerife, many of them with the island’s natural black sand but there are a number of manmade beaches with imported sand. All of them are blessed with the clear warm seas of the Canaries and are a wonderful way to while away the day. The best and most popular beaches are around the Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos.

Water parks

Aqualand is a large water park just outside Las Americas with a wide range of rides and water activities to appeal to all ages, together with a wonderful dolphin show. Siam Park is a new Thai-themed water park which has a range of rides and relaxing water-based activities. The Aqua Spa Termal is a popular venue for relaxing and enjoying the calm of a spa retreat.

Golf

Las Americas is an 18 hole golf course which is considered one of the best in Spain. Beautifully landscaped, it provides plenty of challenge to keen golfers. There are a wide range of crazy golf courses across the island for golfing fun for the whole family.

Shopping

There are numerous markets across the island and a wide range of shops, including many well known brands names, in most of the resorts. Because this is a duty-free island, many goods are much cheaper than their equivalents in mainland Europe.
