Being a WWE superstar is what every wrestler aspires to be, be it John Cena or The Rock; most of the superstars had the dream of becoming a wrestler and also to become a WWE superstar. These superstars have achieved the WWE Champion title many times. The popularity of WWE and its superstars paved the way for many avenues of entertainment on television. One such show is WWE Tough Enough, which has the qualities of both a reality show and a wrestling entertainment.

Tough Enough started off in 2001 and successful runs. In 2011, WWE Inc., along with Shed Media, US, revived the series and telecasted the first episode on April 4, 2011 on USA Network. Tough Enough is a reality show where a bunch of men and women would audition for a chance to become a WWE superstar. Many audition for this show and out of which only twelve participants are selected from the entire country. In every episode, each contestant is given a particular regime to do or would have to wrestle and impress their trainers, host, and also the celebrity guests to stay on the show. Each week, there is an elimination done and the eliminated contestant would have to leave the show.

The host of the show is the Steve Austin, popularly known as Texas Rattle Snake in the WWE world, and the contestant did find it difficult to impress him. Besides having experienced trainers like Bill DeMott, Trish Stratus, and Booker T, the contestants are not able to match to the expectations of Austin and also the trainers. Most of the contestants have some experience in wrestling, while others are rookies.

One of the contestants, Andy Leavine, has four years of experience in pro-wrestling since high school and he has also participated in a lot of independent circuits. Ultimately, on the last episode, he became the winner and won the contract to become the next WWE Superstar. Another contestant Luke Robinson did not have any experience in pro wrestling, but was working as a personal trainer and he became the runner-up in the reality show.

Most of the people expected AJ Kirsch to win as he had five years of experience in pro-wrestling. He was the undefeated All Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champion for one and a half years, in addition to holding the undisputed tag team victory over the infamous New Age Outlaws. But sadly he was eliminated in the eighth episode.

Besides having glamorous divas of the WWE as guests in one or two episodes, there was glamor and beauty from the participants’ side in the form of former Miss USA Rima Fakim. She was also one of the twelve selected contestants. Having no previous experience in wrestling, she wanted to prove that she is a beauty with muscle power. Viewers expected some controversies when she was selected on the show, as she had already faced a lot of criticism from her community when she won the Miss USA title.

The chances of having a controversy came to an end when she was eliminated in the fourth episode. After a series of grueling tests for physical endurance, ultimately there were only two contestants left. On June 6, 2011, at FCW in Tampa, Florida, in front of a live crowd and millions of viewers watching at home on their television, the winner Andy Leavine was chosen by Austin and Luke Robinson became the runner-up. Among all the glitter and glamor, Vince McMahon welcomed Andy into the WWE family by offering him a slap. Andy was also taken by surprise by a devastating stunner from Austin. Andy Leavine is currently being trained at FCW under the guidance of the experience WWE trainers and legends. He is expected to make a WWE debut soon. Contact either your cable operator or your satellite TV operator like Dish Network and catch all the action.
