Classic Music for the Modern Age
When you think of turntables, there are a couple of different things that may come to mind. Many people over the last few decades have associated turntables with DJs, and with club music, but even now, after all these years, there are still a great many people that, when thinking on turntables, think of vinyl, and all that it represents in the world of music.
Having been surpassed by many other, more convenient mediums for listening to music, vinyl records have still survived, and do so because of the support of their fans, and artists alike. While cassette tapes and eight tracks have disappeared, and compact disks are slowly fading away as a result of digital downloads, support for vinyl has only strengthened over recent years.
With both classic and modern artists showcased on vinyl, you can find anything you could ever want, giving you an alternative to digital; one that is rich in tradition and emanates a kind of raw emotion that you just don't get in any other format. Having won over audiences for years, once you listen your favorite artists on vinyl, you will instantly hear the difference.
Whether you're listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers or The Beatles vinyl albums, you will find that time does not necessarily factor into the quality of sound that you find with vinyl. It's a far more organic sound than you will experience anywhere else, and though it may be far from compact, it's worth it to sacrifice the extra space to enjoy a method for enjoying music that carries so much weight in the industry.
Even the act of playing a vinyl record seems to be performed with a sort of traditional sense to it. Removing the record from its slip case and placing it onto the turntable, then placing the needle as it spins, the whole series of events is almost ceremonial.
If you have not heard it for yourself firsthand, then you don't know what you're missing. Vinyl is an experience all its own, and cannot be paralleled, even with all the technological advances of the industry today. The quality of sound that comes from vinyl is one of a kind. Although vinyl hasn't changed much, even VPI turntables have evolved with the times, proving that even though the format may be aged, it can still find a way to keep up with some of the trends that help keep it alive today.
