Are Movies giving the Hardcore Entertainment We Desire?
An inevitable question that comes to your mind while watching movies is, are they worth the entertainment you need. Many of us have known to be movie buffs and since being one, we really think a lot before selecting a movie to watch. It is not that nowadays mediocre quality of movies is made, but the question is, are they just made to take people into the realm of entertainment.
The world of entertainment has become a place where everything is possible. You can jump from one building to another irrespective of the distance and still not get hurt, dodge bullets, defuse bombs without any prior knowledge, drive an airplane and land it without crashing even though you are non-pilot. These kinds of fantasies are webbed that you feel that they are quite possible in real life.
Okay it is accepted that many of us have a healthy mind and are able to distinguish between the real and unreal. But still we believe in such unrealistic fictional fantasy stories that movies have. Frankly, it sounds funny, but you will find it hard to digest that many movies are based on fictional fantasy. Why do people make such movies? Aren't there any other stories or incidents on the basis of which movies can be made. Well, the answer is simple.
There are countless movies made based on subjects that cater to the social issues and emotionally moves you to the core. But how much of you watch these kinds of movies. Seriously, if you would take a census, the number would be less than what you expected. Fantasy movies have bewitched a large number of people that these movies will never cease to be a blockbuster failure. Their world-wide earnings would be profitable for the producers and production companies that they would never lose their money spent.
Why do people prefer to watch fantasy movies over other genre of movies? Well, it is simple. In the world of highly pressuring work and personal commitments, we need an entertainment or recreational activity that makes us forget this workload. Keeping the burden of office work and personal life on our shoulder and watching movies that tell the story of current events, historical characters can be boring and annoying.
We need an entertainment that just pulls us from the blahs and fruitless activities of life. The idea of sitting on your couch and watching a movie that takes you to the realm world of entertainment where you can do whatever you want will spell bound you. Forgot about the issues concerning environmental degradation, society, public figures, etc, as when you are watching a fantasy movie; you will feel like being in heaven.
The ecstasy feeling of watching something that you know is not true and bogus, is what you aspire for. Sometimes you may feel what it would be like if your life was filled with situations that are unreal and where you are the controller of your destiny. The indispensable power to do things you want, create situations where you can show your heroic deeds, tormenting the bad guys so that they are always on the run. Man! It would be awesome and notional life. Seriously, you get to live life in your own way.
The thing that you need to be cautious is that there should be a definite line that cuts you from the realistic and unrealistic world. You need to identify which is right and wrong. In a sense, you need to know what is happening around you rather than getting carried away to the extreme world of fantasy. It is okay to watch fantasy, action, romance movies on your FiOS TV, but there should be a thin line that helps you to keep intact in case you crossover to the realms of the indecisive world of entertainment.
