Samsung I9000 Galaxy S – a Step Ahead

The new Samsung I9000 Galaxy s is an Android OS, v2.1 mobile phone that comes with 1 GHz processor. The design is a typical rectangular representative of the big touch screen phone that is popular these days. The screen is protected with a rim casing so that it displays bright and colorful pictures. It comes with a 4 inch display and occupies most of the front space. The front comes with three keys, touch home, touch back and physical menu. It is designed to give a comfortable and good holding grip. The dimensions are 122.4 x 64.2 x 9.9 mm and the weight is only 118 grams. The display glass of Samsung Galaxy mobile is a Gorilla glass that comes with scratch proof technology.

The Samsung mobile comes with seven home screens that can be populated with widgets, folders by tap and launch icons. The screen is sharp and is the best feature in the Galaxy S and most probably the best Smartphone screen as well. The crisper and larger screen makes it very attractive feature in the mobile. The camera sports a 5 megapixels camera that is mounted on the back. However, there is no flash or anti-shake filter or the video calling feature. User can get some great video recording in HD and also features a secondary camera on the front for video calls. As usual, as with all the Samsung mobiles, this model too produces stunning photos that can be expected. The features included in the camera are autofocus, geo-tagging, smile detection and face detection. The colors available in the mobile handset are black and Grey.

The mobile phone price in India is very attractive although on the higher-end. The features and the apps can easily make you use the mobile from anywhere anytime. The Samsung Galaxy S runs on Android 2.1 with TouchWiz UI overlaid. The android also offers full multitasking as well. The I9000 offers messaging SMS, threaded view, MMS, email, push mail, IM browser, HTML etc.

The phonebook comes with practically unlimited entries and fields. You also get photo call records and the phone comes with unlimited internal 8 GB / 16 GB storage card slot via the microSD users can extend up to 32 GB memory. Along with this the mobile I9000 Galaxy S comes with Google search maps, Youtube, Google talk, calendar, voice memo, Picasa integration and T9.

The Samsung i9000 Galaxy S price is Rs. 21,209 approximately.
