Why should a domestic or a multinational company use products like caps, umbrella, pens, stickers, T-shirts and other unique but customized goods? The purpose of such a measure is commonly executed to promote a positive corporate image, endorse the company’s goodwill, to strengthen marketing of the organizations existing services, products and facilities. The use of promotional products is employed as a measure of introducing new products or services.

Different organizations exploit the use of promotional products either to motivate employee sales performance or productivity. And this has been established to be a major approach of generating sales within the existing or targeted market. Promotional products are commonly positioned frequently, not as new or pure merchandise, but as a component of the promotion consumers promotional as well as communication mix. Though, these promotional products are anticipated to be consumed by the greater society, while high rate information allows the intended market to establish a product preference, or to be exposed to the dynamics of mass advertising.

However, companies have the tendency to use promotional products. This can be allied to the fact that they are out to either secure a new market niche or boost the sales of existing services or products. This is typically executed as a means of motivating patrons to purchase more. Thus, promotional products are used to entice consumers to purchase more of the company’s products. How? This may involve packaging several products together with a promotional product.

In regard to market requirements promotional products are employed by companies to establish constant brand exposure, creative impact as well as long-lasting investment. The major reason thus being promotional items have a greater chance of being exposed to more people than any normal advertisement either on TV or billboards.

Another use of promotional products is to reward the company’s paramount affiliates. The objective of such a measure is to show the affiliate the way they promote the company’s services or products is appreciate. Equally, even thanking the loyal clients is expressed through repeated market campaigns. Despite that this procedure helps the company or the organization to establish solid competitive benefits, increased rivalry is thus compelling companies to adopt new marketing trends in order to appear unique and this is being demonstrated through product promotions.

Promotional products have proved to be effective tools of advertising due to their nature which is personalized, modest, and targeted approach. Due to these attributes promotional products have a tendency to be kept or used, leading to willingly repeated exposure, acknowledgment, and retention of the company’s name or message. However, promotional products are more effective where the target audience is principally identified.
