NLP Certification Training – a Road to Becoming NLP Certified Practitioner
NLP is acronym for Neuro-linguistic programming, an approach developed in 1970s based on connection between neurological processes, language, and behavioural patterns learned through experience that can be used to achieve desired goals in life. In NLP, the practitioner first establishes rapport with the client (a person that comes to NLP certified practitioner for personal development or to get help in correcting a personality disorder), gathers information using a typical meta-model questionnaire, teaches certain tools and techniques to achieve desired goals, and finally makes the client to rehearse and integrate changes to his or her life that will help achieve their life goals.
In order to become an NLP certified practitioner, you are required to attend NLP certification training classes that enable you to become certified in practicing NLP for yourself as well as on your clients.
Since its inception, NLP has been taught in various formats and durations for the training, all ending in NLP certification. The length of course and style of NLP classes may vary from institute to institute as there is no “official” best practices defined NLP certification training.

With much variety in training formats and length of course, it is really difficult to choose which certification training to choose from available options. Here are a few tips to choose the best NLP certification course:
1. NLP training is not just meant for knowledge of tools; it is a practice. Choose a seminar that offers a good length of training and has more component of practice than just introductory seminar. Read NLP Newsgroups and gather information from comments of people who have already attended NLP certification trainings.
2. Choose the trainer after a careful evaluation. Attend introductory event by the trainer who will be conducting certification training. Talk to trainer and even meet him or her before paying for any training fee.
3. Good trainers are involved in the training for greater proportion of time and are personally involved in the training. Before joining any training session, do inquire how much time the trainer devotes personally in the training.
4. The place of training is also important as it may add up the cost of accommodation and travel. Make sure that training room is well ventilated and have enough room for the participants.
