The Feelings of Adopted Children
Can you tell me how family is created? We always think that family is complete when a woman gives birth to the child. When a woman is infertile than she really face the humiliation from the society and even from their closer ones. Adoption is the better way to make a family and it’s a legal process which enables someone to become a parent of a kid even though they are not related by blood. A woman and man are not the kid's "birth parents” but they promise to take care of the adopted child and make them the part of the family.
Kids are the prime member of the family so no doubt people always want to have them in their lives. There is different motive behind adopting the child like some people adopt because they have medical problem which deter them from having kids. There are also cases in which single adults are not married but they want to be parents. They can fulfill this desire trough the adoption process. Other kids might get adopted when one of their parents remarries. The new husband or wife might adopt the kids as a way to show that they are all one family now.
Child adoption is not like a shopping that pick one whichever you like. It’s true that attachment doesn’t happen at once, it’s a long term process and changes takes place. There are at least five to seven stages which are accomplished simultaneously before a child move to the next stage. The case of adoption is handled by the government agency or the private group. First they inspect the people who want to adopt the child.
They try to find out that whether they are the right who can take care of the child properly. The agency does not want kids to be adopted by people who might not take good care of them. The parents also need to explain that why they want to adopt the child and they are asked few questions related to child that what they feel about them. Adoption is indeed a good way to build families but the adopted really don’t like when they come to know about it. How many times you have heard from the adopted child that saying, "Thank you for separating me forever from my true family?" They want to be like other kids, and most other kids aren't adopted.
Raising kids is a big responsibilities and being a parents you must have sufficient money to get the diapers, clothes and other supplies for the kids. So to fulfill the child requirement parents should work hard. They should take proper care of the child and should not live them alone for a single moment. For most parents of adopted children, the first concern is to make sure that their adopted children know and understand that they are just as much a part of their family as they would be if they had been born into it. For parents with a mix of adopted and natural children, this can be a particular concern. They should know how to handle this situation.
