Teach your Child the Importance of Forestation
Green is the color of life. Vastushashtra, an Indian ancient doctrine which consists of principles born out of a traditional view on how the laws of nature have an effect on human dwellings, says that the color green makes our minds refreshed and give a joyous feeling. What can be better if we plant, as many trees as we can because the best way to keep our minds refreshed and bring the joyous feeling is to plant more trees? It is more important to teach the new generation to maintain greenery in their surrounding areas.
From the very beginning, children should be taught to plant saplings at least on the day of Vanamahotsav, so that they can get chance the to learn about the importance of planting trees and also can maintain contact with the nature. Keeping this in view, the event of earth day had been organized. The Earth Day was started to learn about and protect the biodiversity. People from across the world put their efforts to protect flora and fauna.
It is an international environmental event which is celebrated throughout the world. The Day was started by Senator Gaylord Nelson of the United States. In the United States, it was first celebrated on April 22, 1970. On the first day of the event, around 20 million people and thousand of local schools and communities took part. It should be the duty of every person to protect the mother earth. In India, the same event was celebrated with approximately 1200 children and later took the shape of holding a rally. Slogans and messages were passed regarding how to protect nature by the children.
Now earth day is celebrated almost in every schools of the world. Students of the schools assemble together to celebrate the day as it provides opportunity to remember that what wonderful planets they live. Children are made to plant trees on the occasion of earth day as this is a way of paying honor to the day. Earth day is the only day in which the entire world celebrates the day and gives the planet an acknowledgement.
Celebrating earth day on a specific day is not the only way to save our planet. People should also help the planet to survive by following few ways every day, and they should also teach their children to follow the tips. Children are the most creative as well as destructive creatures; therefore, they should be taught how to make their contribution so that they can live a healthy life on the planet. The tips are as follows:
• Try to make your children ride bicycles as cycling is good for health and also helps to reduce pollution caused by the burnt fuel of vehicles
• Make your children understand the positive effects of planting trees
• Ask them not to litter and throw the waste products in dustbins
• Try to make less use of plastics
It is the foremost duty of the parents to teach their children the positive effects of planting trees. Once in a year, parents should make their children plant trees. This helps the children to develop respect for the nature and also to save their own planet.
