Your neighbors may unfortunately find themselves scraping snow, ice or even frost off their cars' windshields during the winter since they do not own shelters for their cars. Due to this, they are forced to look for shelters for their cars and the only place they can find them is in the portable garages.

If you happen to own one or even many of these shelters, then you are better placed to rent them out to your neighbors. One great thing about a portable garage is that it is instant and way far cheaper than the normal garage. This garage is the perfect solution for protecting a car from the disturbing elements and it is a large storage that one would not have imagined of.

In order for you to rent this storage property, there are a few checks that he must go through. One of them is determining the location of the garage. The spot should be convenient to your neighbors and it should be in a flat area such that one may be forced to level the terrain if need be. The next important thing is to visit the local county agency so that information about permits, zoning, covenants and setbacks is obtained in detail. A homeowners association should be visited too, for any rules and regulations about neighborhood. With this information, you can now decide on what size, shape or type of garage can suit your neighbors.

Once you are allowed to carry on with the business by the authorities, you can have the sturdy delivered to the allocated land in order for it to be set up. It should be designed with a strong floor so that it can accommodate motor vehicles, motor cycles and any other power equipment. The space should be large enough to handle all the machinery. A smart businessman is the one who drives things the formal way. You can now go and advertise the portable garage for hire. This advertisement should include the location, price, contacts, space, security and any other additional information.

People will contact you and you may want to show them around. It is likely that such calls are from genuine customers. The portable garage is cheaper compared to other shelters and it is good to be open for negotiations. If the two of you agree on the pricing and the length of the contract, you may want to allow your neighbors to complete the bookings online, by downloading and printing out the contract agreement provided.

You will then have to sign on the contract as a gesture of closing a deal. It should state the terms of payment, time that the rent is said to be due, the length of the contract, how rent will be paid, names of the parties and clauses for breaching the contract. Sometimes, it is great to involve the services of an attorney when dealing with this business. An insurance firm can also come in handy for the necessary cover. Sometimes you may want some up front deposits, if this is true, ensure that you receive them before issuing out anything to the hiring neighbor.
