One of the most essential skills that any person starting up a cleaning business must know is how to properly wash windows. Is would never be enough that you just apply whatever your parents taught you, which is what you normally do in your respective homes. You have to remember that your clients will be paying for the service you will provide. For sure, you will earn their trust more if they see that you really took time to learn how to appropriately clean the house. You must also ensure that your employees will be equipped with the same skills when they are the ones that will do the cleaning.

It is said that windows mirror the home owners’ characteristics. As such, it is indeed very essential that the homes of your clients are cleaned properly by ensuring that their windows are appropriately cleaned.

Usually, spray cleaners are being used in cleaning the windows. There are some who are using old towels. For the more traditional ones, they use newspapers, which are really not working. When you do these usual methods, what usually happens is that dirt becomes spots within the windows. It is usually being seen in the edges. What usually happens is that windows become dirty and spotty. This usually makes customers feel unsatisfied. In fact, what usually happens is that static electricity results as a product of too much rubbing of the windows. With static electricity, more dirt and dusts are being attracted.

There are efficient tools that you could use to have a cleaner window. Some of the essential tools are the following: squeegee, cloth strip applicator, hand held sponges, chamois, and rags. In a bucket, you could put some warm water then put some a mixture of dish washing liquid in it. However, make sure that there is not too much bubbles that are foaming out from the bucket.

In the strip applicator, put some cleaning solution and use it in cleaning the windows. Then, use the squeegee when you wipe the window. Do the wiping from top to bottom. After one wipe, make sure that the edge of the squeegee is cleaned with a rag. Whenever the squeegee is making squeaking noises, put some more soap in the water mixture. For the remaining water that will be found at the window’s edges, use chamois to wipe it. Ensure that the chamois is dry before you soak it again in water.

The windows of your customers will come in different sizes. That’s why, it is recommended that you invest in a set of squeegee for your business. You could also suggest to your client that they buy a squeegee for their windows which you will use when you do the cleaning of their house.

In doing the cleaning, do it in an orderly manner and ensure that you won’t clean again windows or parts of the windows that have been cleaned already.

There are stains in the windows that are harder to remove such as those stains that are product of rainwater. In cleaning those types of dirt, just do the same procedure tackled above. Just use a cleansing powder that has an oxalic acid in removing the dirt that are tougher to remove. After applying the cleansing powder, wash again the window.
